For this year’s edition of Liste, Courtney Jaeger is delighted to present works by Matthias Holznagel, Eva Noeske, Clara Rotermund, and Mia Sanchez.

Clara Rotermund (b. 2000 in Berlin) is an artist based in Leipzig. She studied painting in Leipzig and Vienna, and obtained her diploma of fine arts in 2026. In her paintings, that mostly show self-portraits, she reflects on misconceptions of what it is like to be a woman painter.

Matthias Holznagel (b. 1999) lives and works in Karlsruhe, Germany. Working across various media, he develops images and situations.

Eva Noeske’s (*1992, Itzehoe) works depict figures and objects that undergo a kind of psychological process. Themes such as zoom, instruments, eroticization, and hegemony condense into complex bodies of work that interweave painting and photography.

Mia Sanchez (*Sevilla, 1988) lives and works in Basel. Her work engages with social structures and shifts between the personal and the public through the formats of video, photography, and sculpture.
