Landscape Notation is a project by artists Elena Jones and Miguel Gómez Losada that explores the relationship between vision, listening and landscape. Within this dialogue, Jones approaches landscape as a sonic structure and a way of reading the world. Through object-scores, sound performance and installation, she activates found materials—cables, rods and everyday objects—transforming the environment into an expanded musical score that can be experienced and reactivated.
Elena Jones (Vigo, 1997) is a multidisciplinary artist and composer. She studied Fine Arts in Pontevedra and Lisbon and was awarded Novos Valores. After living in The Hague, she completed an MA in Art, Gender and Nature at HGK FHNW (Basel), where she is based. Her sound-centered practice weaves nature and poetry in “The Gaze That Listens.”
