For Liste 2026 Galerie Khoshbakht presents a new installation by Prateek Vijan (*1991, Delhi, India). Vijan creates a setting combining sculptural elements with projected videos: three dogs wearing security vests sit back-to-back at a round office table, gazing at projections of a shadow theatre play emerging from their mouths. Referring to dogs once trained as museum guards, the work continues Vijan’s research into museum security and tests possibilities of counter actions within systems shaped by colonialism.

Prateek Vijan (b. 1991, Delhi, India) lives and works in Berlin, Germany. He completed his Master’s degree at HFBK Hamburg from 2019 to 2023. His first solo exhibition with the gallery took place in 2025. Recent exhibitions have been held at Galerie Khoshbakht, Cologne (2026); Marta Herford, Herford (2026); KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin (2025-26), and Kunstverein Hamburg, Hamburg (2025). Forthcoming exhibitions in 2026 include Kunstverein Braunschweig, Braunschweig.
He is the recipient of the ars viva-Preis 2026, the Berenberg Kulturpreis 2025, the Arbeitsstipendium für Bildende Kunst, Hamburg (2024) and the Hiscox Kunstpreis (2021).
