Galerina is pleased to present a duo presentation by Gretchen Lawrence & Margaret Tashkova and Stuart McKenzie. Presenting artists across generations, the booth highlights how each artist examines pressures of economic change, fast-paced globalism and the eternal loops of contemporary culture through performance, music, text, and material appropriation.

Stuart McKenzie (b. 1965, Manchester) is an artist, illustrator, poet and musician. His work explores the performance of self through materiality, manifested across disciplines. His poems have appeared in publications ranging from Magma Poetry to AnOther Magazine. He has recently exhibited at Arcadia Missa, London (curated by Galerina); Raven Row, London; and Cherry Hill with 4649, Tokyo, in Cologne. In 2025 he released his first full-length poetry collection, The Dead Weight of Beauty with Joan Publishing. McKenzie performs regularly eponymously across London and was a founding member of the band Wild Daughter, active from 2014 to 2021

Gretchen Lawrence & Margaret Tashkova (b. 1997, Tallinn, Estonia, lives and works in New York) is a multi disciplinary artist working across painting, installation, sound and performance. At the centre of her approach is a process of rendering compositions across decades of visual culture, sounds and language. Influenced by the expansion of post-Soviet capitalism, Lawrence & Tashkova interrogates how image, sound, and cultural forms circulate and continually reorganise throughout political change. Gretchen Lawrence is one half of the pop duo NEW YORK.
