Artem Nanushyan’s works originate from an affective core, assembling expansive and diverse visual registers in which images communicate and transform emotional charge. Nanushyan’s pictorial landscape accumulates across a broad range of media, generating tensions that ultimately dissolve into a poetic visual field.
For Liste 2026 Josey presents a special installation featuring works from a new series of paintings and drawings. Through a procedure akin to surgery, the paintings have been subsequently modified and reworked. Abrasions, Incisions and lacerations made across the canvas are later carefully healed through a reparatory process replicating the body’s natural behavior. The series of paintings accompanied by other works will be shown at Josey in a forthcoming solo exhibition.
