Lodovico Corsini is pleased to present a project by Francesca Facciola. Conceived as a visual epic poem, this new ensemble of works forms the fourth chapter in a creative cycle begun in 2022 under the title F is for Fun. She presents a three-tiered installation of hybrid oil paintings: a fragmented psychic realm. Her practice unfolds at the intersection of technical mastery and a hallucinatory visual vocabulary. Having developed hyperrealist techniques, her work now turns toward “hyper-montage,” a mode of image construction that mirrors the nonlinear operations of the unconscious.
Francesca Facciola (b. 1994, Staten Island, NY) is an American artist based in Brooklyn, NY. She earned her BFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York in 2016. Facciola has exhibited internationally, with solo shows at CFA Berlin, Carl Kostyál in Stockholm, and Hesse Flatow in New York. Her work has been featured in group exhibitions at Lodovico Corsini in Brussels, Galerie Hussenot in Paris, Contemporary Fine Arts Berlin, and Amanita NY, among others.
