Lutnița presents Bathers of River Diana, a project by Alex Bodea. Drawing on Domenico Passignano’s Bathers at San Niccolò (1600) and the legend of a lost version with female bathers, Bodea reimagines the scene by shifting it from Florence to Siena and replacing men with women. The project becomes an allegory of gendered access to resources, as female laborers uncover the mythical River Diana.

Alex Bodea (b. 1981, Cluj-Napoca) is a Berlin-based artist whose research-driven practice explores migration, queerness, and non-patriarchal models of beauty through narrative painting.
