For Liste 2026, PARCEL presents a solo exhibition by New York and Tokyo–based artist Masamitsu Shigeta. His paintings function as portable cartographies shaped through walking, memory, and movement. Developed from sketches and color studies made while traveling through cities, the works are housed in handcrafted frames that extend painting into physical space. Installed in a U-shaped booth, the presentation brings together large and small works whose sculptural frames create a rhythmic spatial dialogue.

Masamitsu Shigeta (b. 1992) is an artist based between New York and Tokyo. Inspired by the natural and architectural forms of the cities he visits, he develops paintings through daily sketches made on site using watercolor, pen, and colored pencil. Each canvas is paired with a handcrafted frame, extending the work beyond the pictorial surface and into the surrounding space.
