Radio Athènes presents a suite of montaged works featuring glossy Agfa C-prints of alluring female models. Taken in the late 1990s by an anonymous photographer and found by the artist in 2011, the images are set in creamy frames reminiscent of 35 mm slides. The framing—composed of found air-conditioning faceplates salvaged from a yacht built in 1984—further destabilizes the image, contributing to a shifting construction of subjectivity: the artist's, the models', and the viewers'.

Giorgos Tigkas (b. 1989) is an Athens based artist. He initially studied Applied Mathematics and Physical Sciences at the NTUA, Athens and then Architecture at LMU, London. His first one-person show with Radio Athènes opened in February 2026. His work has been shown at Fondation Pernod Ricard, Paris; nervi delle volpi, Genova; International Press, Athens (all 2025); and Kunstverein in Hamburg (2024). He works with film, sound, and found materials, assembling, editing and finding meaning in the collision of existing fragments.
