Mladen Stropnik, Outsiders, 2025, Courtesy of the Artist and Ljubljana Biennale

For Liste 2026, Mladen Stropnik presents a freestanding mirror supported by three reclining sculptural bodies. The mirror reflects visitors and the surrounding space, while the hidden figures anchor it, linking perception, attention, and material presence. The installation invites viewers to move between self-reflection and awareness of the bodies that sustain it, exploring the subtle space between mind, body, and imagination.

Mladen Stropnik (b. 1977, Slovenia) is a Ljubljana-based postconceptual artist with a BA (2001) and MFA (2004) from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Ljubljana. Working across drawing, collage, performance, video, and NFT, he explores perception, materiality, and the poetics of everyday life. Recent exhibitions include MG+MSUM, Cukrarna, Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb, City Art Gallery Ljubljana, and the Ljubljana Biennale 2025.
