Christophe de Rohan Chabot starts from familiar standardized formats, cabin luggage dimensions or common commercial artwork sizes, and turns these norms into new material forms. Aluminum plates and sculptures are covered with low cost rhinestones, creating a tension between industrial structure and glittering surface. The works mimic glamour while revealing its fragility, reflecting on taste, value, and the spectacle driven economy.

Christophe de Rohan Chabot's (b. 1986, Paris, FR) work has been exhibited at Triest, New York; Shore Gallery, Vienna; Gaudel de Stampa, Paris; 032C Workshop, Berlin; Confort Moderne, Poitiers; Heidi, Berlin; Exile, Berlin; Profil, Paris; CHB, Berlin; MAC VAL, Val-de-Marne; CAPC, Bordeaux; Kunsthalle Friart, Fribourg; Gallery Bernard, Zurich; Etablissement d’en face, Brussels; Wiels, Brussels; Biennale de Lyon and many more.
