Drawing on digital phenomena and practices, HaYoung conceives the spatialization of artworks as a rhizomatic system, evoking mycelial and computational networks. For Liste 2026, the artist presents new glass sculptures produced at CIRVA during a residency begun in 2024. Entitled Bellybutton, each piece appears like an organism in formation—a loop folding onto itself, an internal scar. The exhibition also includes works on paper questioning how identity takes shape.
HaYoung (b. 1993, Seoul) lives and work in Marseille. They received the Ricard Prize in 2024 and the Région Sud Prize in 2022. They work has been exhibited at Foundation Pernod Ricard, Jan van Eyck Academie, Frac des Pays de la Loire, La Ferme du Buisson. HaYoung’s works are held in public collections including the Centre Pompidou and CIRVA.
