For Liste Art Fair 2026, we're pleased to present a solo project by Cécile Lempert. The installation brings together new paintings and the artist’s first clay sculpture. Lempert’s research-driven practice poetically blends autobiographical and social references – in form of archival materials and art-historical references. Through 'mirror moments', ancient sculpture fragments meet contemporary figures, reflecting on memory, time, and shifting relations between image and object.

Cécile Lempert (b. 1994) is a Cologne-based artist who graduated from the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf in 2021. Recent exhibitions have been held at artothek, Cologne; CASTLE, Los Angeles, xyz collective, Tokyo, Super Super Markt, Berlin, and BRAUNSFELDER, Cologne. Her work explores questions of belonging to places and other people, often referencing her own person and family history.
