For this year’s edition of Liste, Turnus brings a joint presentation by Piotrek Kowalski and Tomek Tofilski. The booth explores a playful caricature of reality, where everyday objects and images are transformed into new spatial and perceptual forms. The artists share an interest in unusual forms of literalism, using subtle and inventive interventions to question how we experience, organize, and relate to the world around us.
Piotrek Kowalski (b.1997) is a Warsaw-based artist and a graduate of the Media Arts Department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Working with objects and sculpture, he examines how space and infrastructure shape human behavior. His work has been presented at venues including Zodiak Pavilion, the Wola Museum, and the Narracje 2025 festival. He has been selected for the 2025/2026 “Project Room” programme at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw.
Tomek Tofilski (b.1996) is a Warsaw-based artist and a graduate of the Leon Schiller National Film School in Łódź. His practice investigates the mechanisms that shape and distort perception. His works were recently included in “Mine Eyes Bees Deceive”: Polish Photography Exhibition at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art.
