Artist Talk: Prateek Vijan
Join us for an artist talk with Prateek Vijan, presented at Liste by Galerie Khoshbakht, Cologne, in conversation with Chus Martínez and Robert McKenzie. The conversation opens up Prateek Vijan’s practice, exploring the themes that shape his work and artistic approach.

Prateek Vijan (b. 1991, Delhi, India) lives and works in Berlin, Germany. He completed his Master’s degree at HFBK Hamburg from 2019 to 2023. His first solo exhibition with the gallery took place in 2025. Recent exhibitions have been held at Galerie Khoshbakht, Cologne (2026); Marta Herford, Herford (2026); KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin (2025-26), and Kunstverein Hamburg, Hamburg (2025). Forthcoming exhibitions in 2026 include Kunstverein Braunschweig, Braunschweig.
He is the recipient of the ars viva-Preis 2026, the Berenberg Kulturpreis 2025, the Arbeitsstipendium für Bildende Kunst, Hamburg (2024) and the Hiscox Kunstpreis (2021).
Chus Martínez is the director of the Institute of Art Gender Nature at Basel Academy of Art and Design FHNW, associate curator at the TBA21 Foundation and artistic director of the 36th Ljubljana Biennale of Graphic Arts. She is a board member of CIMAM and an advisor to several international art institutions. Martínez has organised numerous exhibitions and publications with contemporary artists. Her writings regularly appear in journals, catalogues and compilations of essays.
Robert McKenzie is an art advisor, writer and curator who was born in Melbourne and has lived in New York since 2008. He has worked as an advisor to a number of prominent art collections in America and Europe over the past 15 years. Mc Kenzie has written for art and design magazines including Starship, The Whitney Review of New Writing, and Pin-Up Magazine. Between 2015 and 2019 he was Artistic Director with Beata Von Oelreich of Rehnsgatan3 in Stockholm and has been a director at Cayre Art Group in New York since the beginning of 2023.
