We do not exist fixed before, during, and after on a straight timeline; we are not point A running towards point B. At Valerie’s Factory, we do not conceive art as an urgency but as a continuous weaving of past, present, and future. An act of perforation — an incision performed by artistic practice itself — crossing temporal and spatial planes within the aim of building a possible, livable infinity: a now that brings us into contact with another dimension of the real.
In that dimension, one lives with audacity. We do not speculate with our passions, nor do we negotiate only with what is possible, probable, or convenient. In that dimension we find two artists: Luis Enrique Zela Koc and Ramiro Olier.
Luis makes an effort to return to the origin of time on Earth, opening a portal into deep time. In Ramiro’s works, time multiplies. There is human time, telluric time, animal and bacterial time.
It is from that perspective that materials are presented — glass, metal, ceramics, silk, china fruits, natural returns — together with the spiraled temporalities invented by their works, inviting us to live well, know well, and love well.

Luis Enrique Zela-Koort (1994) Artist and researcher observing technological responses to biases that would otherwise be cataloged as objective truth; analyzing the ideological instrumentalization of science, mythology, and identity. They integrate reflections on the interplay between abstract forces and gendered, subjectivity creation. Articulating digital tools and manual methods, their objects embody actual or hypothetical processes as a means for conceptualizing new possible worlds, where historical, hegemonic narratives are digested to elaborate meta-fictions- or non-linear reinterpretations of reality.
