Vijay Masharani (1995, Bay Area, CA) is a visual artist based between London and New York. Masharani’s experimental videos adopt the point of view of a fractured subject at a hallucinatory threshold, a point at which real abstractions like race, capital, and nation take the form of leering grotesques distributed through an undifferentiated urban, digital, psychic space. An anonymous, spectral threat of grievous injury lurks in the interstices of each scene.
