The congruence in the works can be found in the collective use of narrative structures and an interest in how identities are formed and distributed via these structures. From Matt Copson’s use of medieval allegory to form effigies of irreconcilable contemporaneity to Cooper Jacoby’s analysis of mythological symbols to examine infrastructures of circulation to Mélanie Matranga’s employment of avant-garde filmmaking strategies to access contemporary social habits and attitudes each artist has created a specific methodology to understand and interpret the various ways in which our selves are manifested and diffused.
