Chalisée Naamani’s sculptural-environmental practice is placed at the intersection of fashion and photography. While clothes and accessories are released from the mass-produced and fast-forgotten circuit they come from, and frozen in time by being transposed to the art context, in the same way an encyclopedic archive of digital images is appropriated and manipulated: everything becoming material for her formal and chromatic exercises in mixed-media representations of contemporary aesthetics.
Srijon Chowdhury’s work takes the form of patterns stemming from his own search for understanding, isolating portrait and subjects within silent scenes, combined with the fascination of his everyday surrounding such as his family, friends, nature, and personal photographs, drawing as well upon art historical traditions and genres. His highly symbolic paintings take their expressions through his detailed and meticulous technique, as means to explore the subconscious and his own emotional states.
