Gallery Relations (Maternity cover)

Join us: Gallery Relations at Liste Art Fair Basel
March – June 2026
(Maternity cover with possibility of extension)

Liste Art Fair Basel has been the international fair for young contemporary art for 30 years. As a non-profit platform for contemporary art with an international reputation, we are looking for a committed individual to join our team for the upcoming edition from 15 to 21 June 2026

The position involves responsibility for supporting and coordinating participating galleries and artists, assisting with the overall organisation of the fair, and ensuring a smooth and high-quality experience for exhibiting galleries and visitors.

The position offers the opportunity to actively participate in an internationally renowned art fair and gain in-depth insights into contemporary art.

Responsibilities include:

  • Communication and support for participating galleries
  • Collaborate with the person responsible for communications in developing topics for newsletters and social media.
  • Developing ideas to further support and improve gallery presentations and their overall success.
  • Working with the person responsible for production to implement gallery presentations and transport the artworks
  • Invoicing galleries for participation fees
  • Managing and coordinating the set-up and dismantling of the galleries and the information desk; on-site presence is required throughout the entire trade fair week

Your profile:

For this full-time position, it is a prerequisite to have worked in the art world for over three years and to have relevant experience in the implementation of cultural events – in terms of content, organisation and communication. You are talented not only when it comes to organisational matters but also in multi-tasking, managing stress and working under pressure. You have very good skills in the use of common digital technologies and excellent written and spoken English skills. You communicate with gallerists with the same ease as you do with your team and everyone else involved in Liste. You like to work with a small team, and maintaining flexible working hours in order to be able to react spontaneously to new situations are a matter of course for you.

The job can be done from any European art centre. Regular stays in Basel are expected, and presence from June onwards is mandatory.

Please send your application in English or German, including a CV and motivation letter, to julia.jung@liste.ch by 2 February 2026.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. If you have any questions, please contact Julia Jung julia.jung@liste.ch
